A New multi denominational Chapel for the Vaal University of Technology, Vanderbijlpark, South Africa. This building was selected by the South African Institute for Architects as one of the most prestigious buildings erected in 2004 in South Africa. The visitor has to pass a series of thresholds and interrelated spaces in the form of platforms and framed courtyards to enter the inner sanctum, which is intelligently celebrated by illuminated bright white textured walls.

Van Ryn Place of Safety, Benoni South Africa – Winner of 2002 National Dulux Colour Award (in association with VMR Architects). This design makes use of careful consideration of the position, scale and function of different buildings to define outdoor, usable spaces in the fashion of Charles Correa’s open to sky rooms. Colour is also used extensively as a means to brighten up the lives of the homeless children spending time in this institution.

Garden Pavilion, Pretoria, South Africa. This building is an addition to an existing house in the form of a freestanding Garden Pavilion, located next to a swimming pool and surrounded by a lush and exotic garden. The very honest expression of structure is reflected in basic choice of materials such as off-shutter concrete, large glass surfaces and planed timber. This building received an SA Architect project award in 2000.
